RESOLUTION OF THE YORK COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the York County Bar Association (the “Association”) adopted a Resolution on March 16, 2007 establishing a written policy regarding distribution of member information (the “Resolution”); and
WHEREAS, the Resolution as drafted prohibits release of member information to non-member individuals or non member entities; and
WHEREAS, the Resolution would prohibit members’ professional contact information from being listed on the Association’s website; and
WHEREAS, the Association desires to amend the Resolution to address release of member information on the Association’s website; and
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Directors of the York County Bar Association:
RESOLVED, that the Association’s Board of Directors deem it in the best interest of its members to have a written policy regarding distribution of member information.
RESOLVED, that no mass member information will be distributed to any non-member individual or non member entity, except by approval of the Association’s Board of Directors.
RESOLVED, that mass member information may be released to members of the Association and Pennsylvania Bar Association upon receipt by the Executive Director of a written request stating that the information being requested will be used for legal and or Association purposes.
RESOLVED, that professional contact information may continue to be released on individual members to the general public with the exception of members of the judiciary, honorary members and members of the District Attorney’s office.
The above stated resolution is adopted by the Board of the York County Bar Association this 21st day of December 2007.
