Annual Dinner
The Annual Dinner falls in the second or third week of January. The Social Committee selects date in late summer and confirms with President Elect. The site selection has traditionally been made by the Pres. Elect. The site should be booked by September 1st and notification to the members should go to members of the Bar by the first week of December. The program which follows dinner has varied from year to year but traditionally the new President gives a short talk, awards are presented and there’s some special event (PBA speaker, presentation of gag awards for the year, etc. etc.) The files from previous dinners are in the Social Committee file drawer and provide samples of what happens when. An agenda must be prepared for the event and at least one staff member must be present to check in guests.
