• A growing endowment will enable the Foundation to further its commitment to providing free or reduced fee legal services to disadvantaged citizens through grants to Mid Penn Legal Services.

• A growing endowment will allow the Foundation to promote the fair and efficient administration of justice and to broadening the understanding of the legal system through the Foundation's Grant Program.

•  A growing endowment will allow the Foundation to provide needed funding for law-related Public Service Programs throughout the York community.  

• A growing endowment will allow the Foundation to provide continuing legal educational programs to legal professionals, members of the judiciary and the public.  

• A growing endowment will support scholarships to provide financial assistance for law student education.  

• The York County Bar Foundation’s presence in the community is furthered by its fine facilities in the historic district of the City of York. A growing endowment will permit our continued presence within the downtown community.

The Foundation welcomes gifts designated for special purposes, subject to a gift minimum of $25,000 and approval by the Foundation Board of a gift setting forth the purpose(s) of the gift. These funds will carry the name of the donor or Grants from these funds will be made in the name of the donor.

Gifts to the York County Bar Foundation are tax-deductible to the maximum extent allowed by law.

The Foundation encourages gifts of cash, appreciated securities, retirement fund assets, real estate and life insurance policies, subject to consideration and approval by the Board of Directors.
