Bar Association Activities
The Annual Dinner occurs during the second or third week of January.
The Women and the Law Committee is responsible for presentation of
The Jane Alexander Award. The
Pro Bono Committee is responsible for presentation to firms and individuals Pro Bono Awards. The staff usually organizes the actual dinner and sends out an announcement to the members at least a month and a half in advance of the event and prepares the event agenda which also honors local bar leaders who are leaving office and other deserving bar members.
The
Law Day luncheon is held on the closest weekday to May 1. The
Law Day Committee oversees all activities (
Essay & Poster Contest,
Liberty Bell Award, and
Mock Trial Awards) and obtains a speaker with the approval of the President. The staff usually organizes the actual lunch and sends out an announcement to the members at least a month and a half in advance of the event and prepares the event agenda.
The
PBA Annual Meeting is held in early May and should be attended by all PBA delegates and the President of the Association. The Executive Director usually attends a meeting of Bar Executives the day prior to the annual meeting, followed by a cocktail party.
