Jeremiah Sullivan Black Barrister Award

~ for exceptional leadership and dedication to the law and public good ~

 

Established in 2005 by resolution of the Board of Directors of the York County Bar Foundation, the award was created to perpetuate the leadership example of Jeremiah Sullivan Black.

 

The Award is conferred annually upon individuals, firms, partnerships and corporations that take a leadership role in contributing to the York County Bar Foundation Endowment Fund. Gifts to the Endowment Fund support the expansion of law-related, community focused programs and public service projects of the York County Bar Foundation.

 

The Award is given to individuals who have contributed $1,000 during the fiscal year and to firms and corporations that have donated $5,000 to the York County Bar Foundation Endowment Fund.  Names of Award winners are inscribed onto a plaque prominently displayed in the Bar Center and are also honored at the York Bar Association Annual Dinner.
