York County Bar Foundation
Created in 1990, the
York County Bar Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization that is affiliated with the
York County Bar Association. The Foundation serves as the charitable arm of the Association and guides the many
public service programs of the Association. Some of these include law related
grants and
scholarships.
In addition, the Foundation has shown unwaivering support of it's "pro bono" program by annually providing thousands of hours of free legal assistance to income eligible York County residents. The Foundation has also been the primary private financial benefactor for
MidPenn Legal Services, a government backed provider of legal services to low income residents of York County.
The revenue for these York County community activities comes from dues, fundraisers such as the Bar Stools, donations from the Bar Association, and
gifts from the public. The Association and Foundation are excited about making our thriving community an even better place to live.
