Please come and join us on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 12:00 pm via Zoom to hear from our speakers Carl (Tobey) Oxholm III, Esq. who is the direct of The Pardon Project, and DaShawn Harrison a pardon fellow of the Pardon Project of York County. We are taking a dive into the topic of pardons as April is known as the Second Chance Month in Pennsylvania. This program focuses on the “paper prison” that continues to keep people who have broken the law and fully completed their sentences from fully reentering society – hurting not just them and their families, but all of us. Attorney Oxholm will provide an overview of the pardon process that allows a criminal conviction to be forgiven and then expunged (erased) and teach how lawyers of any age and any practice area can help someone with their application. Mr. Harrison will provide insights into the client’s perspective and how “Pardon Coaches” can be the most helpful. This program is being offered in conjunction with our partner the Pardon Project of York County (PPYC), which connects volunteers with low-income residents who have completely served their sentence (including probation and parole) and are seeking a pardon for nonviolent crimes that happened years if not decades ago.

The PACLE Board approved this program for 1-hour ethics credit. To receive credit, all attendees must be signed on by Noon. Late arrivals will receive no credit.
