On July 2, 2014, Gov. Corbett signed into law Act 95 of 2014. This Act, drafted in response to Vine v. PSERB, 9 A.3d 1150 (Pa. 2010), made broad changes to the law governing Pennsylvania powers of attorney. Some key provisions of the new Act are effective immediately and the remaining provisions are effective January 1, 2015.
