Or are you looking for a board position or need more information on nonprofit governance best practices? 

 The York County Bar Association and Leadership York have teamed up to provide a Leadership Academy, a course designed to increase your effectiveness to effectively govern and strengthen our area's charitable organizations.

The Leadership Academy will cover:

• board member roles and responsibilities,
• how to lead effective meetings,
• leadership styles,
• and community needs.

The four-session course will include case studies, discussion, and other activities designed to be both informative and fun.

Meetings will be held from 4:15 - 6:15 at the Bar Center on Monday, 1/25; 2/8; 2/22 and 3/7.  As these sessions will build on each other, it will be important for participants to attend all four of the two-hour sessions.

Registration is on a first come, first reserved basis.  Deadline is January 18, 2016
